Job Position: Packaging Assistant & Delivery Driver
Location: Exeter, RI
Pay rate: Based on level of experience
Frequency: Approximately 35-40 hours per week

Tilted Barn Brewery is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our production team in Exeter, RI. This position is split between assisting the packaging team and delivering our beer across Rhode Island as part of our Farm to Pint mission. Additionally, this person will be responsible for maintaining and executing all keg washing and keg warehouse management functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practices. Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to: 

• Assist with canning, kegging, and prepping beer for distribution

• Drive and deliver orders to accounts throughout RI 

• Execute all cleaning, sanitation, and preparatory tasks to clean kegs

• Maintain keg washing machine and all related equipment 

• Organize keg fleet, warehouse, and walk-in cooler as directed 

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of warehouse

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining of brewery space

• Follow best practices and SOPs dutifully 

• Assist packaging team with all aspects of packaging beer

• Help to ensure beer meets packaging specs prior to, during, and following packaging   

• Assist in packaging & organizing beer for delivery to our distributors 

• Assist in loading Tilted Barn Brewery delivery & distributor delivery trucks 

• Unload pallets of raw materials & packaging materials 

• Help maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Be an ambassador for the Tilted Barn brand on the road and in the brewery

• Attend brewery staff meetings and trainings as required 

• Perform all job functions within the structure of policies and procedures at Tilted Barn Brewery 

Job Requirements: 

• Must be at least 21+ years of age 

• Formal brewing education is a bonus 

• Ability to work and communicate well with all staff 

• Highly organized and detail oriented 

• Excellent time management and punctuality

• Basic troubleshooting skills in a warehouse/manufacturing setting 

• Keg washing and/or experience working safely with chemicals preferred 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Ability to safely operate a forklift & obtain certification 

• Flexible schedule – available early mornings and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements: 

• Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder height 

• Lift 150 lbs from ground to waist high and move 150 lbs along the floor 

• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders 

• Work in small and confined spaces 

• Work safely with chemicals and compressed air/gases with reasonable safety accommodations 

• Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations 

• Read, write, and calculate basic math
